The Association of Teachers of General/Family Medicine (DNOOM) was founded on October 27, 1998. The objectives of the Association are the improvement and development of education in general/family medicine in accordance with the development of science, documents of the World Health Organization, and documents and recommendations of the European Association for Medical Education and the World federation for medical education. The fundamental tasks of the Society are the development and implementation of theoretical knowledge and practice of medical education, training and permanent training of teachers in family medicine, development of research and publishing activities in family medicine. The association brings together teachers and associates of medical and related faculties in Croatia who show an active interest in the problems of education in general medicine. Other experts who show an active interest in the problems of education in general/family medicine can also become members of the society.
